MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD

by Pimpa Sangkem, Member of Sanphranet Methodist Church, Thailand.

My name is Pimpa Sangkem. My hometown is in Phrao, Chiang Mai, and I’m currently worshipping at Sanphranet Methodist Church.

I was born in a Christian family. Yet I was never close to God; I did not encounter Him truly. When I started my senior high, I moved to stay at Mettakij Hostel, a Christian hostel set up by MMS for children from remote villages to study. It was at this place that I truly got to know God and encountered Him. I attended worship services at Shineforth Methodist Church, a church next to the hostel, and I was given a chance to serve in church. I also helped out in MCA (Mettakij Church Association) youth camp and was involved in many other activities. All these helped me to grow in my relationship with God and I accepted Christ as my Saviour with all my heart.

After my high school, I didn’t know what to do. I was worried that should I further my studies, I wouldn’t be able to afford the school fees. So, I prayed and asked God to lead the way ahead. God is good all the time. I was accepted into the faculty of Business Administration (Chinese), which was what I liked. I was also able to receive SSS sponsorship for my school fees. While studying in the university, I worshipped at Sanphranet Methodist Church. Now, I had graduated and I continue to worship at Sanphranet Methodist Church. I am also serving in the LCEC (Local Church Executive Committee) of the church.

I thanked God for His leading and guidance in my life. Each time when I was unsure of the way ahead, I prayed for the Holy Spirit to help. God never fail to answer my prayer. I wanted to encourage you through my testimony. When we trust in the Lord with all our hearts, He will always provide a way for us.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6, ESV)

God bless you.
